TVS - XL100

The TVS XL100 is a versatile moped that has become popular among riders in India, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. Launched to cater to the needs of budget-conscious consumers, the XL100 combines affordability with practicality, making it an ideal option for daily commuting and light hauling. As of January 2025, the moped has four variants, with prices ranging from approximately ₹46,730 to ₹61,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Its lightweight design and robust features make it suitable for various riding conditions.

The TVS XL100 is powered by a 99.7 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which produces a maximum power output of 4.35 PS at 6,000 rpm and a torque of 6.5 Nm at 3,500 rpm. This engine is designed for efficiency and reliability, making it perfect for daily use. The moped features a single-speed gearbox, allowing for simple operation without requiring frequent gear changes. Braking is managed by drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels, complemented by the Synchronized Braking System (SBS) for enhanced safety. Weighing approximately 88 kg, the XL100 is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. It has a fuel tank capacity of 4 litres, providing sufficient range for daily commutes while boasting a claimed mileage of around 65 km/l.
