The Ather 450X is an advanced electric scooter produced by Ather Energy, a prominent Indian electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Bangalore. Launched in India, the Ather 450X has rapidly established itself as a leading choice for urban commuting, thanks to its sleek design and cutting-edge technology. The scooter is available in two primary battery variants: a 2.9 kWh battery and a more powerful 3.7 kWh battery. As of January 2025, the ex-showroom prices for the Ather 450X start at ₹1.47 lakh for the 2.9 kWh variant and go up to ₹1.57 lakh for the 3.7 kWh variant, reflecting its competitive positioning in the market.

The Ather 450X is equipped with a robust 6.4 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), enabling it to reach a top speed of 90 km/h. The range is impressive, with the 3.7 kWh variant offering up to 161 km on a full charge, while the 2.9 kWh variant provides around 126 km. Charging times have been optimised; the larger battery requires approximately 5.45 hours for a full charge, while the smaller battery takes about 4.30 hours when using a standard charger. Notably, both variants are fitted with disc brakes at both ends, ensuring reliable stopping power.
