TVS - Star City Plus

The TVS Star City Plus is a well-regarded commuter motorcycle produced by TVS Motor Company, tailored for urban riders in India. This model, part of the commuter segment, is known for its fuel efficiency and practical attributes. As of January 2025, it is available in two variants: Monotone and Dual Tone, with prices ranging from ₹72,541 to ₹84,651 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Star City Plus is designed to navigate Indian roads effectively, offering a balance of comfort and performance that appeals to daily commuters.

The TVS Star City Plus is powered by a 109.7 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, generating a maximum power output of 8.08 PS at 7350 rpm and producing 8.7 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm. It features a four-speed gearbox, ensuring sufficient power for city commuting while maintaining an impressive fuel efficiency of 83.09 kmpl. The motorcycle has a 10-litre fuel tank, allowing for fewer refuelling stops on longer journeys.

In terms of braking systems, the Star City Plus employs drum brakes on both the front and rear wheels; however, there is an option for a variant with a petal disc brake at the front for improved stopping power. The bike's kerb weight is approximately 115 kg, making it lightweight and manageable in heavy traffic conditions. Its suspension system consists of telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, which provide a comfortable ride over uneven surfaces.
