BMW - R 12

The BMW R 12 is a classic motorcycle that embodies timeless design and modern engineering. Launched in India with a starting price of approximately ₹19.90 lakh (ex-showroom), this model appeals to riders who appreciate heritage styling alongside reliable performance. The R 12 is powered by a robust engine that delivers ample power for city commuting and leisurely rides.

The BMW R 12 features an air/oil-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine with a displacement of 1,170 cc. This engine produces around 96.31 PS at 6,500 rpm and peak torque of about 110 Nm at 6,000 rpm, providing sufficient power for various riding conditions. The motorcycle has a six-speed gearbox that ensures smooth gear transitions during rides.

With a kerb weight of around 227 kg, the R 12 offers stability while remaining agile enough for urban environments. The braking system consists of dual disc brakes at the front (320 mm) and a single disc brake at the rear (265 mm), complemented by single-channel ABS for enhanced safety during braking manoeuvres. The fuel tank capacity is approximately 14 litres, providing a decent range for long rides.

The motorcycle also features modern technology such as riding modes (Rain and Road), traction control, and optional heated grips for added comfort during colder weather.
