The BMW M 1000 XR is a high-performance adventure sport motorcycle with superbike performance and touring capabilities. Launched in India with a starting price of approximately ₹36 lakh (ex-showroom), this model caters to riders who seek excitement on both highways and winding roads while enjoying comfort during long trips. The M 1000 XR is powered by an aggressive 999 cc inline-four engine that delivers exhilarating performance, making it one of the most versatile bikes in its class.

At the heart of the BMW M 1000 XR lies a water-cooled inline-four engine with a displacement of 999 cc. This powerful engine produces up to 210 PS at 14,500 rpm and a peak torque of around 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm, allowing it to reach speeds exceeding 300 km/h while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just about three seconds. The bike features a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch for seamless gear changes under aggressive riding conditions.

With a kerb weight of approximately 223 kg, the M 1000 XR offers an outstanding power-to-weight ratio for exceptional performance on track or road. The braking system consists of dual disc brakes at the front (320 mm) and a single disc brake at the rear (220 mm), complemented by BMW's M ABS for enhanced safety during high-speed braking manoeuvres. The motorcycle's suspension system includes fully adjustable front forks from Öhlins or Marzocchi, depending on variant selection, along with rear mono-shock suspension, ensuring precise handling characteristics across various surfaces.
